Math Challenge

Math Challenge is designed to give elementary students opportunities to sharpen their mathematical problem-solving skills. There will be 15 sets of challenges, running every other week, starting on September 12 and finishing at the end of May.

All students in grades K-5 are invited to participate.

The program covers problem solving strategies such as drawing a picture or model, making an organized list, looking for a pattern, working backwards, and guessing and checking.

We will keep track of your submissions. Students who complete at least 12 Math Challenges will be honored in June 2026 with a ribbon or medal!

The program is completely FREE and no sign up is necessary. This is a great opportunity for families to be involved and enjoy math through fun and engaging math problems. We encourage parents and siblings to get involved in discussing and solving them.

Click here to view and print the Math Challenges.

How to Participate

  • Print the current Math Challenge paper.
  • Write your name, grade, and teacher's name on the top of each Math Challenge.
  • Solve at least the minimum number of problems required for your grade.
  • Return the completed Math Challenge paper to your child’s teacher by the due date.
